Texas History Project

Texas Native Americans Tribes

During October, our 7th grade students were very busy learning and teaching their classmates about Texas Native American tribes. Students had the opportunity to visit with Mrs. Smith, the librarian, to learn about the six steps in the research process (Big Six) to complete the classroom assignment that required them to create a poster or a power point presentation about a Texas Indian tribe.
Students did a great job in using the library resources to complete their assignments. They also included citations for the encyclopedias, books and websites that they used! The students enjoyed learning about the state that they live in, as well as the traditions and environmental conditions of native Texans during the 1800s.
If you wish to see their terrific work, stop by the display cases located at entrance of the school and check it out!
